I want the cheapest one but with a stick.
Make it happen Jag!

Supposedly a stick shift F-Type is in the works so SOON.
Would you consider trading in the 911 for one? Normally I'm a Stuttgart fanboy but I'd be sorely tempted in this case.

I honestly don't get the fuss over this car. It's heavy, has gun slit windows and just looks "thick" to me. Yes it's fast, and yes it's better than any modern Jaguar but it just doesn't do it for me.

That's fine. I just like the look of it and the idea of it. There's really no rational reasoning for choosing this over a 911 or Corvette but I still like it.

It would be a tough call. In an ideal world I'd have a 10 car garage and have both. If I had to trade the 997 then I'd really need to love the Jag. I've never even ridden in one, let alone driven one. So I dunno how much I'd like it.

Well I've driven a PDK equipped 997.2 bak to back with a Jaguar XK a few years back and I felt like the Jag, while heavier, still felt like a compelling alternative to the 911. The F-Type is slightly lighter than the XK and has a better transmission so I'd reckon it would be a blast to drive.

Oh my god, why would you want something from a company that's not as diverse as the Germans? /kidding
Sorry I'm just a little annoyed over that article about Jag and Cadillac.

Interesting. I bet the Jag is the better car for the street.
The 997 isn't the most livable car for the street. It's small and bumpy. But I would take it over the Jag in a heartbeat for track use.
I'm not tracking the 911 now but I hope to at some point. The short wheelbase makes it really good for twisty tracks.

Yeah, I the Jag would probably be the better street car but the Porsche is what you want if you're going to do near-limit driving.

The Porsche is so fun around town when I'm willing to risk a ticket and push it hard. But I rarely do cause I don't want my insurance premiums to go up. But on the rare occasion that I find some twisties and give it the beans it's so damn fun :)
